There are thousands of products out there that promise to plump your lips, but what are the ingredients that you should look for in these products?

  1. Atelocollagen – This is an animal protein that is an effective moisturizers that also stimulates natural collagen production that will dramatically enhance lip skin appearance.
  2. Marine filling spheres – These are dehydrated microspheres of glycosaminoglycans and marine collagen that rehydrate and regain their volume in water. They enhance lip skin appearance by penetrating the skin and then swelling when coming into contact with water.

Hyaluron Pens

Hyaluron pens are an injection method that uses pressure to push hyaluronic acid into the dermal layers of the skin. These pens can be found over-the-counter or be used by a dermatological professional. They have become a popular choice for achieving plumper lips because they are cheaper, do not use a needle, allow for subtle changes, and are easy to learn to use. There is now a warning against using these pens at home because the hyaluronic acid can be pushed through the skin into the body, some pens are made with non-medical grade hyaluronic acid, and bleeding, bruising, swelling, scarring, infection, blockage of blood vessels, and damage to the eyes may result from use of the hyaluron pens.
