Sunscreen protects your skin from sun damage, but only if you apply it correctly. If you aren’t diligent about following the rules of applying sunscreen, you could be left with dangerous sunburn.

Watch this video to learn the right way to apply sunscreen. You should put on your sunscreen about 15 minutes before you actually go out into the sun and reapply it every two hours and after swimming or working out. Adults needs about an ounce of sunscreen for complete protection, or about the amount that will fit in your palm. Don’t forget to coat all exposed skin with sunscreen, including the tops of your feet.
